Acne Home Remedies That Work
Almost everybody, at one point in their life, has had to deal with the pain of acne. It doesn’t matter whether it is severe or just a mild case, it can truly be a psychological trauma for young adults, teenagers, and even adults. There are more brands of acne treatment medication on the market than you can shake a stick at, and a majority of them work but they will cost you your first born child to get them. They are normally quite expensive. Their are though some inexpensive ways to get effective acne treatment in your home. Some of the home remedies will include pastes made from a milk base, lemon juice, and garlic. Let’s go ahead and look at some of the most effective non medicinal treatment solutions for acne.
Pimples are formed when oily deposits build up on the skin and block pores. The pores become inflamed and infected. This makes the large red bump, while the infection creates a pocket of puss. You can mix a little bit of lemon juice and cinnamon to make a paste. This method is effective against all kinds of acne, even in places other than your face. This will help to clear out the gunk that is causing the blemish in the first place.
For the most part most of your home made remedies for clearing up your acne are based on this principle, if you get rid of the oil then the acne will soon disappear as well. It’s really amazing that with simplicity of many of these home acne treatments that the drug companies haven’t picked up on trying to profit from it in some way. Take this for example, you take nutmeg and mix it together with milk to form a paste you can put it on your pimple and it will soon vanish without a trace. Another thing you could try that is pretty amazing is rubbing some fresh sliced garlic on your acne. It won’t take long before this works and you will see a reduction in the size of your acne until it eventually clears completely up.
When you are dealing with acne home remedies, remember that it is your goal to treat the source cause of the problem and not simply the appearance of them. Some might say that one of the easiest ways to treat acne is to change your dietary intake, and in some cases it is. But for me and others I’m sure changing my diet isn’t always easy just because of the affordability and availability of certain foods, especially in today’s economy. You can though cut down on the intake of oily foods, and increase carbohydrates without changing you food budget too much. Getting rid of the oily foods and increasing the intake of carbs can help to lessen the severity of your breakouts. In some cases there really isn’t anything that can be done because of genetics. Sorry to say this but it is true many cases are genetic and you simply have to treat the breakouts as they appear.
Of course, all the lemon juice in the world won’t do you a bit of good if you’re not being sensible about your skin care. Washing your face regularly helps get rid of excess oil an dirt that can clog pores and cause blemishes. Wash it too often, though, and your skin will be dried out and irritated. Take care of your skin, and yourself, and you can be acne free without expensive chemical based treatments.
