Rid yourself of the symptoms of stress
Symptoms of stress can vary greatly from patient to patient.
Stress beats the heck out of your body, the way you think and the emotions which is how your body reacts to things.
Some common symptoms of stress are sleeping too much, fatigue, nausea, diarrhea, tight stomach, tight muscles, pain, moody, irritability, depressed, anxious, lack of sense of humor and being abrasive.
You probably don’t know it but, stress has probably caused you a lot of grief already. The symptoms are frequently disguised as other problems.
When you suffer symptoms of stress, it is a sign that it has been at work for a long time. Intense stress from a trauma can take years to manifest.
Stress not only attacks your body, it also wreaks havvock on your mind. Depression and anxiety are frequent visitors to a stressed person’s life.
Your heart and circulatory system were not designed to fight stress for prolonged periods. Their way of dealing with it are sometimes sudden death or the terrible side effects of heart attacks.
A common source of stress is feeling trapped for economic reasons by a job that isn’t satisfying or feels unstable. If you’re faced with many demands at once, the natural result for many people is increased frustration and irritability.
Deadlines loom, the boss is a monster, the family is a mess, your health is gone and you have no security in your life. There just seems to be no way out.
You are probably suffering from severe stress if you are experiencing memory or concentration problems, insomnia or broken sleep.
Things you can do to relieve stress: Treat colleagues with the same respect and consideration you’d like from them. Be aware of company policies on harassment, bullying or racism, so you know how to challenge unacceptable behaviour and what back-up there is.
Avoid alcohol or drugs as a way of coping, they only mask problems and exacerbate the issues later. Avoid making negative predictions about possible outcomes.
Different people react differently to stress so there is no clear cut action to take. Get help and slowly start to clear the causes of stress from your life. Progress may be slow but it has a snow ball rolling downhill effect to it.
